A pact was signed between Turkey and Iraq to improve the bilateral relations

In a bid to bring back the bilateral relations between Turkey and Iraq, the foreign ministers Mevlut Cavusoglu and al - Jaafari signed a pact where the nationals of these countries can ignore the visa requirements for their travel to Ankara, following the arrival of Iraq’s prime minister which was reported by Xinhua. In a press conference the minister of Turkey said to al – Jaafari minister of Iraq that there is a new page that has been opened during this visit and there is also an administration that is further comprehensive. The foreign ministers articulated the hope of opening a new chapter which was deteriorated during the rule of Maliki. Al - Jaafari citing the earlier problems which was faced by Baghdad and Ankara said that both the countries should now open a new page.
