Canada and Saudi Arabia have held bilateral talks with each other, in which Canada has decided to set up new measures to simplify visa procedure for Saudi nationals.
The Ambassador of Canada, MacDonald said that this move was incepted as a result of extensive talks held between Foreign Affairs Minister of Canada John Baird and senior leaders of Saudi, which focused on bilateral, security and regional issues.
Briefing more on the simplifying and streamlining of visa process for Saudis, MacDonald said that Canada is granting great number of visas for Saudis now in 10 working days and three weeks for students.
He added that they have initiated a number of reforms to encourage visitors to travel to Canada. He mentioned that Canadian mission has also initiated online applications. Moreover, Canada has set up three Visa Application Centers in Alkhobar, Riyadh and Jeddah.
Additionally, MacDonald stated that travelers to Canada will be benefited from the multiple entry visa, which permits Saudis to transit to Canada for six months at a time within five years.
