In a bid to boost travel to India for tourism, business, study and medical treatment purposes, the Indian embassy in Kuwait has relaxed the visa procedure for nationals and expatriates of Kuwait residing in the country.

The embassy has witnessed a 30 % growth in the issuance of 10,000 visas this year, where only 7,600 visas were issued during the same period last year.

The embassy mentioned that it has been issuing five-year, one-year multiple-entry business visas, one-year multiple entry medical visa and six months multiple entry tourist visas for nationals of Kuwaiti and expatriates living in Kuwait so that they can easily visit India for tourism, medical, treatment and business purposes.

It also said that it will directly accept visa applications from all diplomats or special passport holders in some special cases of emergency.
