Dhaka is anticipating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take out tough limitations on the access of Bangladeshis and to recommence hiring employees by granting work visas, besides visas for visitors and businessmen, at the time of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit from 26 to 27 October 2014. The sources also said that hectic discussions were on track through diplomatic channels as the Gulf country has almost closed granting Bangladeshis all types of entry consents, since August 2012 for Dhaka's. The arrival, at the invite of UAE Prime Minister, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, would also mark discussions on mutual trade and investment. In the meantime, an inter-ministerial conference at the foreign ministry along with Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque in the chair conferred the mutual issues. The UAE is the second leading manpower destination for Bangladesh following the Saudi Arabia. Reportedly UAE hosts more than 7 lakh of Bangladeshis. Even though the most of them are not skilled individuals, the government would drive for experts in the fields such as nurses, doctors, engineers, pharmacists, bankers, accountants and teachers to join the labor force in the UAE.
